The minimum age for applicants is 19 years old at the time of application.

You MUST be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada to apply to compete on Big Brother Canada.

No. You must complete your application in one session. You cannot access your application at a later time. You are advised to read and review the application and prep your visuals before starting.

Yes, however we STRONGLY advise that you complete your application on a laptop or desktop computer.

When you complete your application and hit the ‘APPLY’ button, you will receive a Submission Confirmation page that says “Thank You. Your Application for Big Brother Canada has been accepted.”

Due to the large number of applicants for Big Brother Canada, we are unable to contact each candidate. Candidates selected to move forward in the casting process will be contacted by the Casting Team.

Big Brother Canada will is scheduled to be filmed starting in April 2027. Participants will need to leave their personal and professional commitments and fully commit to production for up to 10 weeks to be determined by Producer, in its sole discretion.

No. We will only consider the first application received. Any subsequent application received from the same candidate will be deleted in its entirety.

No. Due to the confidential nature of the series, you must keep your application video private. All aspects of casting are completely confidential. If you are selected to complete, you will not be allowed to publicly announce your status until a date determined but BellMedia Inc. You may be disqualified for breaching confidentiality.

There are no special requirements. In 60 seconds, Introduce yourself and tell us what we need to know about you that makes you an ideal candidate to compete on Big Brother Canada.

Common mistakes when it comes to videos – too many edits, being overly performative, ’reading’ to us rather that speaking to us, yelling at us. When filming your video, its best to be yourself, and talk to us directly.

Also, we ask that you avoid filters. Please note that photos and videos DO NOT need to be professionally shot and edited.

There are some tips and tricks for videos:

• Make sure to turn your phone sideways and hold horizontally to shoot with portrait orientation unlocked. With your phone/device in landscape mode, we will see you full frame otherwise, we see you in 1/3 of the frame which is not ideal.
• Make sure that your environment is quiet and well lit.
• It is best to have your light source in front of you.
• Do not use filters
• Do not add background music.
• Do not exceed 60 seconds for your Introduction Video.

It should be very simple for you to drag and drop your video into the application form.

Alternatively, you are welcome to shoot your video via the Flash Video Recorder/ Uploader embedded in the application.
